Call to Order.
Chair Angie Dehn called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM.
Roll Call: Chair Angie Dehn; Commissioners: Doug Cassady, Corey Tanner, Cara Husak,
and Derrick Stark.
City Council: Mayor Jessica Stockamp and City Council Member Vern Heidner.
Staff: Lori Johnson, City Administrator, Ross Demant, Parks and Recreation Director,
Amy Stemler, Recreation Lead and Connie Schwecke, Recreation Administrative
Assistant.
Others in attendance: Charles Vonberg
1. Open Forum.
2. Consider agenda approval.
Commissioner Cassady motioned to approve the amended agenda. Seconded
by Commissioner Tanner. All in favor. Motion carried.
3.1 Regular Meeting Minutes.
Commissioner Tanner motioned to approve December 15, 2015 Regular
Meeting, December 15, 2015 Work Session and January 19, 2016 Work
Session minutes as written. Seconded by Commissioner Stark. All in favor.
Motion carried.
4. Unfinished Business.
5. New Business.
5.1 Review and input of summer program guide.
Parks and Recreation Director Demant presented. Demant reviewed the summer
program guide and informed the commissioners of some new programs the
department was offering this summer:
Youth Golf League
SOAR Theater
Free Archery Night at our new archery range. (Archery Country)
Magic Card Workshop
Taekwondo Program
Jump City Jump Jamboree
Chair Dehn and Mayor Stockamp asked for an all-day option for the annual
Safety Camp program.
ITEM 3.1
6. Parks and Recreation Manager Update.
Parks and Recreation Director Demant presented. Demant informed the
commissioners that both Susan Krekelberg and Michael Stanga had resigned
from the commission and he added he was grateful for their commitment and
service. He also informed the commissioners the city would be advertising and
looking for new applicants.
Demant discussed the Northwood Park Bid Opening and that the bids and would
be going to City Council for approval.

Commissioner Tanner motioned to adjourn. Seconded by Commissioner
Husak. All in favor. Motion carried. Adjourned at 7:40 P.M.
