RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends the City Council accept a $4,000 donation from The Bank of Elk River for the exclusive
partnership of the 2012-2013 Movie Series and the 2013 Splash and Play Entertainment Series.

BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
The City is excited to announce that The Bank of Elk River has entered into a partnership with the City of
Otsego to help the City promote health and wellness throughout the community. The Bank of Elk River
is donating $4,000 to the City of Otsego and in return will be the exclusive partner for the 2012-2013
Movie Series and the 2013 Splash and Play Entertainment Series.
In addition to the exclusive partnerships, The Bank of Elk River will also provide sponsorships at other
events throughout the year. An example of this is the Pumpkin Patch, where The Bank of Elk River and
the City of Otsego will be handing out the free pumpkins and providing prizes. The Bank and City
encourage other local businesses to attend and help promote community at these events also.
We are thankful for The Bank of Elk River's contribution to Otsego recreation programs and look forward
to an ongoing relationship with The Bank of Elk River as we expand our recreation programs and
community events.

CITY OF OTSEGO
COUNTY OF WRIGHT, MINNESOTA
A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A DONATION FROM THE BANK OF ELK RIVER TO
THE OTSEGO PAKRS AND RECREAITON DEPARTMENT.
WHEREAS, The Bank of Elk River has made a donation of $4000.00 to the Otsego
Parks and Recreation Department; and,
WHEREAS, the donation to the Otsego Parks and Recreation Department is for the
purpose of supporting provision of community events in Otsego; and,
WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes 465..03 requires that all gifts and donations of real or
personal property be accepted only with adoption of a resolution of the governing body; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Otsego sincerely thanks The Bank of Elk River for their
generous donation and for its support of the community; and,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Otsego that
the donation by The Bank of Elk River is hereby accepted.
