BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
Certificate of Commendations for outstanding operations, maintenance and management of the City's
East and West Wastewater Treatment Facilities were awarded at the 79th Annual Wastewater
Operations Conference held March.
The award recognizes City Operations Staff for ensuring in 2015:
The facility did not exceed effluent limits; based on permit standards.
Monthly and annual reporting was complete and timely.
The facility experienced no bypasses, enforcement actions or inspections identifying significant
compliance concerns.
The facility is overseen by a properly certified operator.
Staff has worked diligently to accomplish the Commendation through operations, preventative &
corrective maintenance, process control, sampling and analysis, monitoring and reporting. It is a
significant accomplishment because of the complexity of the facilities and discharge monitoring
requirements. Congratulations to those involved at both Wastewater Treatment Facilities!
