CITY OF OTSEGO
COUNTY OF WRIGHT, MINNESOTA
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE NORTHEAST WRIGHT COUNTY
TRANSPORTATION PLAN WITH THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS
WHEREAS, the Cities of Otsego, St. Michael, Albertville, and
Wright County worked together to study transportation needs
in the Northeastern part of Wright County: and,
WHEREAS, the proposed Northeastern Wright County
Transportation Plan which came out of that study is an
excellent guide for future transportation decisions.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF.
OTSEGO, MINNESOTA THAT THE NORTHEASTERN WRIGHT COUNTY
TRANSPORTATION PLAN IS HEREBY ADOPTED WITH THE FOLLOWING
CONDITIONS
1. That the proposed Kadler interchange at I-94 is
regarded as a priority interchange that can help solve the
following problems.
A) It provides access to the Albertville Mall without
routing traffic through the downtown area of Albertville.
B) It provides an alternative route to I-94 for
residents west of St. Michael and Albertville and will help
reduce rush hour congestion in those communities.
C) It will reduce traffic on County Road 19, which
currently has too many accesses and is in danger of being
overloaded.
2. That the City of Otsego would not support any plan or
future interchange proposal which would require the closing
of the existing freeway interchange at I-94 and County Road
37.
3. That any additional Minnesota State Aid (MSA) monies
generated for Wright County by the approval of this plan
must be spent within the boundaries of this plan.
