RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends the hiring of Mackenzie Alger for the vacant Maintenance I position.

BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
Staff received 18 applications for the vacant Maintenance I position and of those 18 applicants, staff
interviewed five. Of the five applicants that were interviewed, staff felt that Mackenzie Alger was the
most qualified applicant. Mackenzie worked for the Streets Department this past winter assisting in
snow removal operations and did a great job. He has successfully passed the background and drug
testing.
He would be available to work immediately after council has made their decision.
