No No BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION: In 2016, Otsego purchased an ad in DEED's Thriving in the North publication that is distributed nationwide to site selectors and business owners. The publication is both print and digital. The ad is also print and digital including a separate page for Otsego in the Livability section of the website. I was recently contacted by the communication company for this publication regarding renewing the City's ad for DEED's 2017 Thriving in the North V2 publication that is now being developed and ad slots are being filled. Cities that purchased ads in the 2016 publication have first option to purchase the same ad location or upgrade to a larger or better location. The cost to Otsego for the same size ad in the same location is $4,290. Last year's cost was $3,525. The cost to upsize to a full page closer to the front of the publication is $6,495. The 2016 Economic Development budget includes $5,500 for marketing. The attached materials provide further information on the publication.
