Starting wage for a new Seasonal Parks Maintenance worker is $10 per hour. The Recreation Program Assistant position is used to help the Recreation Program Lead run a class when the class level reaches a certain point. Staff monitors these levels, and when the levels reach a point that adding a program assistant would be paid for through registration fees City staff then adds a program assistant to help with the program and child to staff ratio. Our typical starting wage for a new Recreation Assistant is $7.25, however due to the changes in the minimum wage it is scaled depending on the age of the individual.
