FINDINGS: Based upon review of the applicatio-n and evidence received, the City Council of th-,;;
City of Otsego now makes the following findings of fact:
A. The legal description of the property is PID 118-500-271300 located within the City of
Otsego, County of Wright, State of Minnesota.
B. The subject site is within the designated Firearms No Discharge Zone established in
accordance with Section 5-2-7 of' the City Code.
C. The property owner is requesting approval, of a Special Hunting Season for coyotes identified
to have a den on the subject site.
D. Section 5-2-3.,J allows the City Council' to approve a Special Hunting Season allowing the

discharge of single, projectile firearms within the Designated No; Discharge Zone upon a
finding that a season is needed to reduce, an animal population.
DECISION: Based on the foregoing information and applicable ordinances, the proposed Special
Hunting Season is hereby APPROVED to control the coyote population, and is subject to the
following conditions:
The Special Hunting Season, is limited' to PID 118-500-271300 and shall expire on 1 June
2013.
2. The use of single projectile firearms is specifically allowed for the taking of coyotes only and
provided that no person shall discharge firearm within five hundred (500) feet of' any publ[c
right-of-way, property, owned by the City of Otsego, and all buildings unless owned bythem
or with the owner's written permission carried on their person.

Any person participating in the Special Hunting Season shall comply with all applicabl
Department, of Natural Resources regulations, State law and the City Code.
Any, person participating in the Speclal Hunting Season shall! have in their possession a copy
of this permit.,
