RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval of the change order #2 request from GL Contracting for $4,950 for the
additional grading of the Northwood Park site.

BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
Construction of Northwood Park started the last week of April with a majority of the site work
completed by the first week of July. Shortly after the grading of the site began, GL Contracting brought
to staff's and SRF's attention that there may be some additional grading required because the grade of
the site did not appear to match the grade on the as -built drawing that they were supplied.
In total, GL Contracting moved an additional 2250 cubic yards of dirt to match the Northwood Park site
to the plans that they were given. City Engineer Wagner and SRF's representative Tim Wold both
reviewed GL Contracting's proposal and both felt the request was in -line with the additional work that
was required.
The 2016 Capital Improvement Plan identified $792,469 for the construction of Northwood Park. The
current budget is $769,621.72 which does not include the proposed change order and is detailed below:
