CenterPoint Energy Community Partnership offers matching grant opportunitiesf r up t $2500 to cities
they serve for the purchase of safety equipment. The City of Otsego has partnered with CenterPoint
Energy in the past to purchase safety equipment including 800mhz radios and also defibrillators. For
this application staff is considering requesting funds to upgrade equipment needed for safe confined
space entry and rescue. if approved, the city share would be funded with sewer and water or street
department small tools and equipment monies. Grant applications are due by March 29, 2013.
