Staff recommends the City Council declare the listed office furniture as surplus and authorize it to be
auctioned off,

BAC l D/JUSTIF[CATION:
With the move of City Half and the rep r ose of office furniture* many unused items remain at
Prairie Center. Staff have gore through the items and identified pieces to retain future use.
Staff is recommended that the remaining pieces be declared for auction. Certain items such as
134 chairs will be kept and continued to be used for Council meetings and rentals. All 19
folding Wooden tables are on the auction list and Staff is recommended they be replaced With
hard plastic folding tables. Currently the wooden tables require two people to move and set-
up. The lard plastic tables Weigh far less than the wood tables and only require one person to
move and set-up. The items that remain after the auction With be recycled.

PROPERTY AND AUTHORIZING SALE
WHERE AS, eertai miscellaneous items as set forth on the attached Exhibit A owned by
the City no longer ser e any useful City function; and
WHEREAS, the surplus items are varied and miscellaneous in nature; and
WHEREAS, City staff has determined that Public Surplus can properly dispose of these
items for value on the intemet or otherwise and provide fair value to the City.
