City Staff would like direction from the Council as to which County allowable type of intersection to
pursue.

At the last Council meeting, the type ofintersection Wright County would allow atmmStreet and CSAH
37 (Oakwood Ave) was discussed. The City Council requested conceptual layoutsofthe intersection as
round -about. Using a recently installed round-abOL]t south of Watertown at the intersection of TH25
and TH7,vvehave prepared aconceptual layout for discussion purposes. Anissue with aligning the
center of the round -about to the south of 70'h Street is that it causes almost a straightening of 7 Oth St
due to the radii needed and the smaller portion of the arc of the round -about used. Staff Pspreferred
option, if a round -about is the Council"s preferred option allowed by the County, would be to center the
nound-abouton7Om5treetthusnotnecessadlydirec1|ngreg|ona|trafUconto7»m3treet. Another
concern, which we will be investigating, is an existing driveway entrance very close to the round -about.
This may require relocation of the driveway to a better location and/or relocating the round -about
farther east.
