RE SOLUTION NO. 2013-16
RESOLUTION APPROVING TAX ABATEMENT FOR NORTHERN L&L
PROPERTIES AND FAMILY SPEECH AND THERAPY SERVICES, LLC
WHEREi AS, Norther. L&L Properties has purchased property located within the
City of Otsego identified as Lot 1 Block 1 Mississippi Shores x Addition; and
WHEREAS, Family Speech & Therapy Services, LLC will utilize the existing
building o .t at property for a speech therapy and occupational therapy facility;
and I
WHEREAS, Family Speech & Therapy, LLC will and has substantially upgraded
the building on thePremises; and
WHERFAS, Family Speech & Therapy, LLC will bring a number of new well
com ensat d jobs to Otsego; and
WHEREAS, Northern L&L and Family Speech and Therapy, LLC have
requested assistance fi;om the City the form of tax abatement of the City share
of property taxes in the total amount of $25,000.00; and
WHEREAS, the application of the above named pailies has been reviewed by the
EDA Finance Committee and the EDA and both have recommended to the
Council that the requested tax abatement be granted in the amount of $25,000.00.
WHERE AS, on Monday, March 25, 2013 the Otsego City Council, after proper
notice, held a public hearing on the proposed tax abatement,,
NOW THERE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Otsego, Wright County, Minnesota as follows:
} 1. The City Council hereby approves a tax abatement of the entire City share
of property taxes actually paid on the above described real propefty (Lot, 1,

o ek 1, Mississipp i Shores 8"' Addition, PI118-21 -00101 in a
amount not to exceed $25,000.00 and conunencing in 2014, subject to the
terms and conditions of the Tax Abatement Agreement.
2. The City Co neifinds that the tax abatement will bring needed jobs to the
City, will rehabilitate and upgrade the property involved and will enhance
the economic -viability of the City,
3. City staff is hereby directed to draft a Tax Abatement Agreement between.
the City of Otsego and Northern L&L Pro edies and Family Speech &
Therapy, LLC setting foilh the conditions of City approval as well as all
necessary language to coyly with State statutes and the adopted City
Policy.
4. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby directed to execute the above named
Tax Abatement Agreement on behalf of the City.
ADOPTED this 25"' day of March, 2013 by the Otsego City Council.
