RESOLUTION NO. 2005-66
RESOLUTION APPROVING CITY OF OTSEGO
EMERGENCY OPERATIONS PLAN
WHEREAS, the City of Otsego recognizes its responsibility for the safety and well being of the public,
and
WHEREAS, the City is exposed to natural hazards that could disrupt the community by causing damage
and creating casualties, and
WHEREAS, other disasters could develop from a hazardous materials accident, conflagration, major
transportation accident, radiological incident, deliberate act of terrorism, and civil disorder, and
WHEREAS, the City will continue to be exposed to the hazards noted above as well as others that may
develop in the future, and
WHEREAS, it is possible for a major disaster to occur at any time, and at any place in the City, and
WHEREAS, the City needs to plan for a coordinated response to hazards, emergencies, and disasters
within the City, and
WHEREAS, proper implementation of such a plan may reduce or prevent disaster -related losses;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Otsego that the City of
Otsego Emergency Operations Plan be approved and adopted.
ADOPTED this 12th day of December, 2005 by the Otsego City Council.
