RESOLUTION NO. 2006-06
RESOLUTION TO PURCHASE A JOHN DEERE 5425 TRACTOR AND
ATTACHMENTS FROM 2005 MINNESOTA CONTRACT
WHEREAS, the City has been provided with a quote from John Deere for a John Deere
5425 Tractor, a Diamond Side Rotary Road Side Mower, and a MB 7 FT Rotary Broom
for a total cost of $60,553.49; and
WHEREAS, the above mentioned equipment is being acquired under the Minnesota
Cooperative Purchasing contract and has thus previously been bid by the State ; and
WHEREAS, that the price quoted above appears to be the lowest price available to the
City for said equipment; and
WHEREAS, the current contract price terminates on January 31, 2006 at which time the
price is anticipated to increase by 3- 7%; and
WHEREAS, the Council has no other scheduled meetings prior to the contract
termination and thus must act at this meeting in order to avoid a higher price.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Otsego City Council this 23rd day of
January, 2006 that the Otsego Director of Public Works is hereby directed to purchase the
above mentioned equipment at the price quoted of $60,553.49.
