BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
A portion of the watermain and sanitary sewer main for Riverpointe 5thAddition was partially
constructed in 2007. The watermain needed to be installed along 59th Street in order to connect the
watermain from Pump House #2 to Watertower #3. This also required the sanitary sewer to be installed
at that time. The Riverpointe 5th Addition included installation of water and sanitary main along Radford
Avenue as well as all the service connections for water and sewer along the existing lines. Also,
constructed as part of Riverpointe 5th Addition was storm sewer, streets, and sidewalk. The wear
course has now been placed and an initial acceptance walk-thru was conducted September 22, 2016. All
remaining items have been successfully completed.
Staff recommends that all public improvements be initially accepted as of the date of the walk-thru,
September 22, 2016. Per the Developer's agreement for Riverpointe 5th Addition, the Developer
warrants;
1. all public improvements, other than streets, within the plat as of the date of this resolution
commencing the one (1) year warranty period from this date.
2. all public street improvements within the plat as of the date of this resolution commencing the
two (2) year warranty period from this date.
