RESOLUTION NO. 2007-15
A RESOLUTION OF SUPPORT FOR AN INTERCHANGE AT
INTERSTATE 94 AND BROCKTON LANE
WHEREAS, the City of Otsego is located in the northwest metro region of the
Twin Cities; and
WHEREAS, development in the form of residential, commercial, industrial, retail,
recreational, etc., has become a significant reality in the northwest metro region
of the Twin Cities; and
WHEREAS, proper development requires efficient, safe, well-planned and
practical transportation access and routes to adequately provide for the
movement of people, goods and services; and
WHEREAS, planning for efficient, safe and practical transportation access and
routes is extremely important to the quality of life and economic vitality of the
northwest metro region of the Twin Cities; and
WHEREAS, the City of Dayton and Hassan Township have identified a future
interchange to be built along 94, at the crossing of Brockton Lane / Hennepin
County Road 13 / Old Highway 101, eventually linking the interchange to a
north -south corridor leading to a future Mississippi River Crossing.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that we, the Mayor and
Council members of the City of Otsego fully support the City of Dayton and
Hassan Township's efforts to plan for and construct an interchange along
Interstate 94 and Brockton Lane as described above.
Motion for adoption of resolution by Council Member Tom Darkenwald, seconded
by Council Member Jessica Stockamp at the meeting of the Otsego City Council
on the 26th day of February, 2007

Vern Heidner
OPPOSED: Mayor Larry Fournier and Councilmember: Mark Thorsted
