RESOLUTION CALLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE
PROPOSED ADOPTION OF BUSINESS SUBSIDY CRITERIA
WHEREAS, the State Legislature has adopted Minnesota Statutes, Sections I I6J.993 to
116J.996 (the "Statutes") governing business subsidies granted by units of government; and
WHEREAS, the City of Otsego (the "City") fits the definition of "grantor" in the
Statutes; and
WHEREAS, a grantor is required to adopt a set of criteria for awarding business
subsidies.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council (the "Council") for the
City of Otsego, Minnesota, as follows:
Section 1. Public Hearing. The Council shall meet on July 9, 2007, at approximately
6:30 p.m., to hold a public hearing on the proposed adoption of criteria for awarding business
subsidies in accordance with the Statutes; and
Section 2. Notice of Public Hearin. City staff is authorized and directed to work with
Northland Securities, Inc. to prepare the criteria. The City Clerk is authorized and directed to
cause notice of the hearing to be published at least once in the official newspaper of the City not
later than 10 days prior to July 9, 2007, and to place a copy of the proposed criteria on file and to
make such copy available for inspection by the public.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Otsego, Minnesota,
will hold a public hearing on July 9, 2007, at approximately 6:30 p.m. at the City Hall, 8899
Nashua Avenue NE, Otsego, Minnesota, relating to the establishment of business subsidy
criteria, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Sections I I6J.993 through I I6J.996. Copies of the
proposed business subsidy criteria are on file and available for public inspection at the offices of
the City of Otsego.
All interested persons may appear at the hearing and present their views orally or prior to
the meeting in writing.
