RESOLUTION AP ROVING THE CITY'S PARTICIPATION IN THE OFFICE OF
THE S'K'ATE AUDITOR'S VOLUNTARY 2013 PERF ORMANCE MEAS RI CAMENT
PROGRAM AND REPORTING THE RESULTS OF THE ADOPTED MEASURE S
WHEREAS, In 2010, the Minnesota Legislature created the Council on Local Results and
Innovation; and
WHERE AS, The Council on Local Results and Innovation developed a standard set of
performance measures that will aid residents, taxpayers, and state and local
elected officials in determining the efficacy of cities in providing services and
measure residents' opinion of those services; and
WHERE, S, Benefits to the City of Otsego are outlined in MS 6,91 and include eligibility for
reimbursement as set by State statute; and
WHERF,AS, Any city participating in the comprehensive performance measurement pro r
is also exempt fi o n levy limits for taxes, if lever limits are in effect; and
WHEREASThe City Council of Otsego will adopt and implement at leastl 0 of the
erfoim nce measures, as developed by the Council on Local Results and
Innovation, and a system to use this information to help pian, budget, manage
and evaluate programs and processes for optimal future outcomes; and
NOW THERE FORE LET IT BE RESOLVED THAT, The City Council of Otsego will
repoit the results of the performance measures t its citizenry y the end of the
year fln-ough publication, direct mailing, posting on the city's website, or through
a public hearing at which the budget and levy will be discussed and public input
allowed.
BE IT FURTHER SOLVED, The City Council of Otsego will subinit to the Office of the
State Auditor the actual results of the performance measures adopted by the City.
