RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended by staff that the City Council call for special meetings on March 31, 2017 and April 1,
2017 for the purposes of interviewing Citv Administrator candidates.

No No
BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
Brimeyer Fursman is currently in the candidate screening phase of the City Administrator search
process. Richard and Megan will be presenting their report to the City Council on March 20, 2017, of
which a special meeting has already been scheduled. At this meeting, the City Council will select a
number of candidates for the interview process.
As outlined in the timeline presented by Brimeyer Fursman, the interview process is scheduled to take
place on March 31, 2017 and April 1, 2017. A sample interview schedule has been prepared by Brimeyer
Fursman and attached as part of this packet.
The main points to review tonight would be the dates and timing of the interviews for each of the two
days so that special meetings can be called for and posted to the public. Other things to potentially
discuss tonight would be:
-Where (Tours / Individual Interviews / Reception & Dinner / Group Interviews)
-Who (Staff Group / Candidate Spouses / Council Spouses / Citizens Group)
Richard and Megan will be reviewing the interview schedule and confirming all details with the City
Council as part of their presentation on March 20, 2017.
