CITY OF OTSEGO
COUNTY OF WRIGHT, MINNESOTA
A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN FUTURE LAND USE
PLAN AND TRANSPORTATION PLAN FOR FUTURE INDUSTRIAL USES.
WHEREAS, the City of Otsego adopted a Comprehensive Plan on 10 December
2012 in accordance with Minnesota Statutes 462.355; and,
WHEREAS, the Comprehensive Plan establishes a Future Land Use Plan and
Transportation Plan for the City; and,
WHEREAS, the Comprehensive Plan includes the goal to "Promote continued
development of high quality, high value industries that enhance the City's economy
through an improved tax base and expanded employment opportunities within Otsego",-
and,
tsego';and,
WHEREAS, the City has determined that on-going industrial development within
the City and the need to identify additional lands for future industrial land uses requires
review of the Future Land Use Plan and Transportation Plan to achieve the City's goals;
and,
WHEREAS, the City has drafted an update to the Future Land Use Plan map
(Exhibit A) and Transportation Plan map (Exhibit B); and,
WHEREAS, the Planning Report dated 2 March 2017 prepared by the City
Planner, The Planning Company LLC, is incorporated herein; and,
WHEREAS, the Otsego Planning Commission conducted a public hearing at
their regular meeting on 6 March 2017 to consider the proposed amendment preceded
by published notice; and,
WHEREAS, the Otsego Planning Commission upon review of the application and
evidence received closed the public hearing and voted 6-0 to recommend that the City
Council approve the proposed amendment of the Comprehensive Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF OTSEGO THAT the Comprehensive Plan is hereby amended as shown on Exhibits
A and Exhibit B based on the aforementioned findings.
