RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended by staff that the City Council call for a special meeting on April 24, 2017 for the
purpose of reviewing financial assistance requests from Guardian Angels.

BACKGROU NDM USTIFICATION:
City staff and Guardian Angels representatives last met on March 28, 2017 to discuss the status of the
Riverview Landing proposal. This proposal was considered by the Planning Commission on March 20,
2017 and they recommended approval of the development application. The development application
has not yet been brought to the City Council for review. During the latest meeting, it was
communicated by Guardian Angels that they would be making a formal request for financial assistance
from the City. Guardian Angels representatives will be present at this special meeting and will be
making a presentation to the City Council regarding the specifics of their requests.

Motion to call for a special meeting for the purpose of reviewing financial assistance requests from
Guardian Angels to be held at the Prairie Center immediately following the regularly scheduled Council
meeting on April 24, 2017.
