RECOMMENDATION:
City staff is recommending that the City Council approve Pay Request #1 for the Water Tower #1
Rehabilitation project.

BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
Osseo Construction Co. LLC was able to begin work on the Water Tower #1 rehabilitation project in early
April. The work completed thus far includes: mobilization, setup of the exterior containment system and
structural modifications. Weekly projects meetings have been held to this point, and all work is progressing
favorably, when the weather has allowed.
The pay request includes work completed through April 24, 2017. The pay request has been reviewed by
Scott Kriese, Project Supervisor with KLM Engineering, Inc., and is formally recommending the City approve
this payment request.
In accordance with Minnesota Statute, the City is withholding the maximum of 5% retainage of work
completed, which accounts to $4,110 at this time.
