Staff recommends approval of Resolution 2017-40 accepting a cash donation from Ron Mueller of the
Edina Summit Real Estate Team in the amount of $256 to support the City of Otsego's 2017 Egg Hunt
event.

BACKGROUND/J USTI F I CATI O N :
The City hosted their annual Egg Hunt event on April 8th 2017, each year the City has given away 4 bikes
during the event in which participants write their name on a piece of paper and put their piece of paper in
a container for the bike give -a -way drawing. This year, Ron Mueller of the Edina Summit Real Estate Team
donated the cost of the bikes which was $256. In addition to the donation, Mr. Mueller also volunteered at
the event and helped promote the event on social media.

RESOLUTION NO. 2017-40
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A CASH DONATION FROM RON MUELLER OF
THE EDINA SUMMIIT REAL ESTATE TEAM TO THE OTSEGO PARKS AND
RECREATION DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, Ron Mueller of the Edina Summit Real Estate Team has made a cash
donation of $256 to the Otsego Parks and Recreation Department; and,
WHEREAS, the donation to the Otsego Parks and Recreation Department is for the
purpose of supporting provisions of community events in Otsego; and,
WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes 465.03 requires that all gifts and donations or real or
personal property be accepted only with adoption of a resolution of the governing body;
and,
WHEREAS, the City of Otsego sincerely thanks Ron Mueller of the Edina Summit Real
Estate Team for his generous donation and for his support of the community; and,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Otsego,
Wright County, Minnesota that the donation by Ron Mueller of the Edina Summit Real
Estate Team is hereby accepted.
ADOPTED this Stn day of May, 2017 by the Otsego City Council.
