City staff is recommending City Council approve Pay Request #2 for the Water Tower #1 Rehabilitation
project.

BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
Osseo Construction Co. LLC began work on the Water Tower #1 rehabilitation project in early April. Work
completion progress thus far includes: Structural modifications - 90%, Surface repairs — 0%; Interior Wet
Blast and Coating —50%; Interior Dry Spot repair -45%; Exterior blast, coating and containment -13%;
Mobilization — 50%; Seal welding of Upper Torus Lap Seam — 0%; Grid Bee Mixer install — 0%; Roof Handrail
100%. Weekly projects meeting continue and all work is progressing favorably.
The pay request includes work completed through May 9, 2017. The pay request has been reviewed by
Scott Kriese, Project Supervisor with KLM Engineering, Inc. and is formally recommending City approval of
this payment request.
In accordance with Minnesota Statute, the City is withholding the maximum of 5% retainage of work
completed, which accounts to $7,021.00 at this time.
