RESOLUTION NO. 2008-26
RESOLUTION APPOINTING DEPUTY CLERK—TREASURER TO SERVE IN
THE ABSENCE AND/OR DISABILITY OF THE CITY CLERK—TREASURER
AND DEPUTY CITY CLERK—TREASURER
WHEREAS, The City of Otsego currently has in place a City Clerk -Treasurer and a
Deputy City Clerk -Treasurer; and
WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes allow the City Council to appoint a Deputy Clerk to
serve at such times as the City Clerk is absent from the City or disabled; and
WHEREAS, such appointment by the council would have to be made prior to any action
by the appointed person, in the event that both the current City Clerk -Treasurer and
current Deputy City Clerk -Treasurer were either absent from the City and/or disabled;
and
WHEREAS, in order to maintain efficiency of operation and continuity of service in the
event of the absence and/or disability of both the City Clerk -Treasurer and the Deputy
Clerk -Treasurer the City Council has determined that such a contingent appointment
should be made at this time.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF OTSEGO, WRIGHT COUNTY, MINNESOTA as follows:
That Sandy Lindenfelser is hereby appointed as Otsego Deputy City Clerk -Treasurer,
said appointment to be effective only upon the absence and/or disability of both the City
Clerk -Treasurer and City Deputy Clerk -Treasurer.
