RESOLUTION NO. 2008-30
A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE FEASIBILITY STUDY, ORDERING
PREPARATION OF PLANS & SPECIFICATIONS, AND ORDERING A PUBLIC
HEARING FOR WATERMAIN AND SANITARY SEWER EXTENSION ALONG
QUANTRELLE AVENUE NE
WHEREAS, the City Council ordered the preparation of a feasibility study
for the improvement on the 10 day of April 2008; and
WHEREAS, such feasibility study was prepared by Hakanson Anderson
Associates, Inc. and presented to the Council on the 12th day of May 2008 and
declares the improvement feasible, for an estimated cost of $281,500;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF OTSEGO, MINNESOTA:
1. Such improvement is necessary, cost—effective, and feasible as detailed in
the feasibility report.
2. Hakanson Anderson Associates, Inc. is hereby designated as the engineer
for this improvement. The engineer shall prepare the plans and specifications for
the making of such improvement.
3. A public hearing shall be held on such proposed improvement on the 23 Id
day of June, 2008 in the council chambers of the city hall at 5:30 p.m. and the
clerk shall give mailed and published notice of such hearing and improvement as
required by law.
4. The council will consider the making of such improvement in accordance
with the report and the assessment of benefiting property for all or a portion of the
cost of the improvement pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Chapter 429 with the
estimated total cost of the improvement being $281,500.
