Call to Order.
Chair Angie Dehn called the meeting to order at 5:05 PM.
Roll Call: Chair Angie Dehn; Commissioners: Jim Breitbach, Angela Hilde, Cara Husak,
Kitty Baltos and Travis Rittenbach.
Absent: Commissioners Doug Cassady and Derrick Stark
City Council: Mayor Jessica Stockamp
Staff: Ross Demant, Parks and Recreation Director, Dan Licht, City Planner, Nick Jacobs,
Parks Maintenance II, Amy Stemler, Recreation Lead and Connie Schwecke, Recreation
Administrative Assistant.
1. Open Forum..
Tyler Cherioli, 7352 Quigley Ave Otsego, presented an Eagle Scout Project. His proposal
is to work with city staff and dog park users to develop a comprehensive plan to design
and build climbing structures for the Prairie Park Dog Park. The commissioners thanked
Tyler for the presentation and all agreed that his Eagle Scout Project would be an asset
to the park and would be beneficial to the community.
2. Consider Agenda Approval.
Commissioner Breitbach motioned to approve the agenda. Seconded by
Commissioner Husak. All in favor. Motion carried.
3. Consider Meeting Minutes.
3.1 April 18, 2017 Regular and Work Session Meeting Minutes.
Commissioner Baltos motioned to approve the regular and work
session minutes as written. Seconded by Chair Dehn. All in favor.
Motion carried.
4. Unfinished Business.
4.1 Budget Review for Lefebvre Creek Park Greenway.
Parks and Recreation Director Demant reviewed the staff report . After discussion, the
commissioners agreed to move the shelter south and to remove the scenic overlook.
Commissioner Hilde motioned to recommend to the City Council to
proceed with the Lefebvre Creek Park amenities subject to the removal
of the overlook and the moving of the shelter . Seconded by
Commissioner Rittenbach. All in favor. Motion carried.
5. New Business.
6. Parks and Recreation Director Update.
ITEM 3.1
Parks and Recreation Director Demant stated he would be giving his update on the park
tour.
7. City Council Reports.
8. Adjourn.
Commissioner Breitbach motioned to adjourn. Seconded by Chair Dehn.
All in favor. Motion carried. Adjourned at 5:17 P.M.
