A RESOLUTION MODIFYING CERTAIN BUILDING PERMIT FEES
WHEREAS, the City of Otsego charges a variety of building
permit fees based on the recommendations of the State of
Minnesota; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of Otsego has always had the
policy that "Users Pay" and that permit fees at a minimum
should recover the costs to the City of providing the
permit.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the fixed permit fees
for roof and siding repairs are hereby increased from $50
per permit to $150 per permit, plus any State of Minnesota
surcharges that may apply.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of Otsego
directs the Building Official to use his discretion when
applying this fee. If the Building Official finds that the
actual costs to the City of Otsego are less than the fee,
then he may reduce the fee appropriately.
