As of Thursday, July 18, 2013,staff had not received the change order request back. Aphone call has
determined the contractor's intent bzprovide acost and dothe work. Arecommendation based onthe
price the contractor offers prior to the council meeting will be given the night of the council meeting.
The change order is for installation of a Wet Well for the pump station between the irrigation pond and
the soccer fields and removing bituminous parking lot, connecting to the existing storm sewer, and
patching the parking lot.

This work includes: installation �a Wet Well manhole, installing an additional 52 LF of 12" 8DR 35 PVC
pipe out ofpond and connect to the Wet Well, saw cutting, removing and patching an8"x10-' section of
bituminous parking lot, and a new 12" DIP Storm 8evvar including connecting to an existing DIP storm
sewer with 12" x 12° DIP tea, approximately 2 LF of lZ" DIP pipe a 90 deg. bend and O LF of 12" stand
pipe. This work is being added to the existing Pond Lining contract and is separated from the rest of the
irrigation system contract because the irrigation system contractors typically are not familiar with this
type of work therefore would have to look for a subcontractor which would add significant cost to these
