RE: City of Otsego Law Enforcement Contract
To Whom It May Concern,
The City of Otsego would like to formally request an increase in the hours of service. The City
Council during their meeting on August 28, 2017 made a motion to formally request additional
hours of service for the 2018-2019 Law Enforcement Contract.
The City of Otsego currently contracts for 40 hours of service on a daily basis. The request from the
Otsego City Council is:
2018
The City requests to increase the contract to 44 hours of service on a daily basis. The City
would request that four (4) service hours are banked from January 1, 2018 through June 30,
2018. Beginning on July 1, 2018, the banked hours would be used in conjunction with the
contracted 44 hours of service, to essentially provide 48 hours of service on a daily basis.
The City of Otsego is agreeable to pay the contract rate for 44 hours of service throughout
the year, even though there will be no actual change in service until July 1, 2018.
2019
The City requests to increase the contract to 48 hours of service on a daily basis effective
January 1, 2019.
The City of Otsego is excited to continue this long standing relationship with the Wright County
Sheriff's Department and looks forward to the increased service levels to serve our residents.
