Lefebvre Creek Greenway Trail.

BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
A portion of the Lefebvre Creek Greenway Trail is located on land deeded to the City as part of the original
Crimson Ponds West development. With the progression of the Boulder Creek project and the completion
of the Lefebvre Creek Greenway within Boulder Creek, a trail connection from 75th St south has been
constructed with this project.
During construction of the trail, depths of top soil and water table issues were encountered. To ensure a
stable trail bed for longevity of the trail, additional topsoil needed to be removed and in one area where
water table was encountered pit run and fabric was added to strengthen the trail bed. This caused items 3,
4 & 5 to increase above plan quantities. An additional minor work order for the pit run and fabric is
anticipated. We are estimating that cost to be $1,600. Those increases total almost $15,600. There were
savings by using existing silt fence and not needing the stabilized construction entrances which amounted
to $3,700. We do not anticipate any significant increase or decreases going forward.
Currently, this trail is completed to the stage where only the asphalt and restoration are left. The asphalt
will be placed when Boulder Creek 3rd streets are paved. The project has a November 15th completion
deadline. The original quote accepted by council is $74,497.80.
